Minova announces joint venture with Imel Chile

Minova International is pleased to announce the completion of a joint venture with Imel Chile. 

Effective 25 March, 2010, Minova Latin America and Imel Chile combined to form Minova Mining Services, S.A.  Minova Mining Services is owned 51% by Minova and 49% by Imel.

Imel is an independent Chilean metal products manufacturing company that was established in 1946.  Imel's mining division is a leading manufacturer and supplier of rock bolts and ground support products primarily to the hard rock markets in Chile and Peru.

With the addition of Minova's extensive product range, Minova Mining Services, S.A. will now provide customers in Latin America with a complete package of steel and chemical products, engineering solutions and unparalleled service for ground support products.

Minova Mining Services, S.A. provides a footprint for growth in Latin America and is further demonstration of Minova's commitment to strategically entering new geographies.  Minova Mining Services, S.A. will operate out of its new premises in Santiago, Chile.
